Cody was born and raised in Hueytown, Alabama, where his passion for baseball began. He went on to play four years of Division II college baseball at Miles College, building the foundation for what would become a career dedicated to player development.

After completing his playing career and graduating from Miles College, Cody returned to the program as the Assistant Head Coach and Hitting Coach. During his three years on staff, he worked closely with college athletes, helping them develop their swings, approach, and confidence at the plate.

Following his time at Miles, Cody joined the staff of a local Alabama training facility, where he spent five years working with athletes across both baseball and softball. During that time, he trained players ranging from beginners learning the fundamentals to professional athletes competing at the highest levels. He also served as a Lead Instructor for nearly four years, gaining extensive experience developing athletes with different ages, skill levels, goals, and learning styles.

Now, Cody is taking the next step by building CRHD — Code Red Hitting Development.

His goal is to create an environment where athletes can learn, work, and grow with confidence. Cody believes hitting development is about more than simply changing a swing. It’s about helping athletes understand their movements, develop a plan, put in the work, and ultimately become the most confident version of themselves when they step into the box.

From beginner to professional, Cody’s mission remains the same: develop better hitters and build more confident athletes.
